Two Iconic Figures in my Country has fallen and returned in the hands of the Lord. Rest In Peace.[4-22-25, 8:14 PM]

Nora Aunor, the Philippine Cinema's Superstar, had passed. She was an active actor in both plays, television shows, movies and concerts. What a diva. She had left some iconic lines such as:
"My brother is not a pig!" (Once a Moth, 1976)
and "Walang Himala!" ["There no miracles!"] (Miracle, 1982)

Besides her bustling life in acting, she had been an age-defining woman, being involved in politics , being a Candidate for The House of Representative of the Philippines, and being in multiple country-changing rallies such as the People Power Revolution and the Second EDSA Revolution.

And more prominently, Papa Francesco, the Pope of our era, has returned to the Mighty Kingdom of God after a day of his public appearance to bless the visitors in the Vatican during Easter Sunday. A bittersweet yet poetic parting from one of the most influential and open-minded religious figures. 

In reflection, I've scoured the internet for his videos to look at what he's done to remind me of his greatness. I almost forgot about his light-heartedness and cheeky demeanor despite his heavy and crucial position. I had found comfort in his old clips.

Their deaths taught me of the possible impact one figure could leave in this world. It is truly painful yet I see beauty in their left-behind creations and actions. May they, and the other souls that had passed before them, manifest and live in comfort among the clouds of Heaven. Amen.
